Meet our first reusable launch vehicle
Laguna is a mass manufactured reusable two-stage rocket designed and manufactured by Phantom Space capable of reliable transport of satellites and other space cargo into Earth’s orbit and beyond. Mass manufacturing techniques and reusability allow the Laguna to be the most cost effective constellation launcher.
Payload
The fairing is designed to protect satellites and spacecraft on their way to orbit. We support a wide variety of payloads from cube sats to ESPA class satellites or any other custom spacecraft.
Height
3.5 m / 11.5 ft
Diameter
2 m / 6.6 ft
First Stage
The first stage utilizes 3 Ripley engines to power the first part of the journey into space. The first stage also features aerodynamic control flaps and dynamic hydraulic landing legs that allow the first stage to land, even on rough terrain. Laguna is powered by liquid oxygen (LOX) and rocket propellant (RP-1).
Height
11.2 m / 36.7 ft
Diameter
2 m / 6.6 ft
Thrust
465 kN / 105,000 lbf
Second Stage
Shortly after first stage separation, the second stage ignites and begins the Laguna’s final step in reaching orbit.
The second stage uses a single vacuum optimized Hadley engine, as well as contains the avionics and all necessary computing for travelling to, through, and from space.
Height
2.8 m / 9.2 ft
Diameter
2 m / 6.6 ft
Thrust
28.8 kN / 6470 lbf
1st Stage Engine
The Ripley engines developed by Ursa Major are pump-fed ultra-high efficiency 3D printed rocket engines.
The engines use liquid oxygen (LOX) and rocket propellant-1 (RP-1) as fuel.
Propellant
LOX / RP-1
Sea Level Thrust
222 kN / 50,000 lbf
